Dennis Polonich - (NHLPA Certified)

Dennis Polonich has dedicated his life to hockey, spending 28 years playing and coaching at both professional and junior levels.

Dennis was drafted in 1973 by the Detroit Red Wings and spent three of his eight seasons with the team as its captain. He was also a member of the Turner Cup champion Muskegon Lumberjacks and the Calder Cup champion Adirondack Red Wings in addition to his memorable career with the Detroit Red Wings.

As for his exploits off the ice, Dennis was General Manager of the Prince George Cougars and the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League, where he also served as interim head coach. Several of the players that Dennis managed and coached went on to become high profile NHLers. He added an SJHL championship to his many accomplishments when he coached the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. Three of his players went on to be drafted by the NHL and 15 of them received NCAA scholarships.

After several years as a captain, GM, coach and mentor, Dennis has spent recent years as a certified NHPLA player representative, helping young athletes develop successful professional hockey careers. Dennis resides in Calgary with his wife Angie, his daughter Lauren, and Jade, a varsity member of the University of Mississippi's volleyball and golf teams.
